Russell Edward Wicks arrived 2/28/13 at 10:12 p.m. weighing 7 lbs., 11.5 oz., and 21 inches long. My labor was so quick that we didn't even have a chance to grab the camera! More on that later... He is a very good baby so far. The girls come home from Grandma Cathy's today and we begin life as a family of 5!
Congratulations! We were so excited to see photos of Russell! What a cutie! Can't wait to hear more about him. Enjoy those baby snuggles... wish we lived down the street so we could bring you a meal or two. Hugs! Annie
ReplyDeleteHe's beautiful! Life as a family of 5 is crazy, but I wouldn't trade it for the world! Enjoy your new little bundle!
ReplyDeleteWe wish you guys all the best. Chris, Krista and boys!
Congratulations, Emily. I am so happy for you. :) Please consider keeping your son intact.
ReplyDeleteMy first son is circumcised, but it's my deepest regret. The surgery was extremely painful for him, and he has had common complications and infections.
My second son is healthy and intact. He has benefited from his foreskin, and will continue to benefit for the rest of his life. I am so glad we learned more and did better for our second son.
I believe that both girls AND boys should have their rights to genital autonomy protected. I also feel that our religious and cultural freedoms should end where another human's body begins.
In my humble opinion, all parents should take the time to learn about the functions of the foreskin - http://www.drmomma.org/2009/09/functions-of-foreskin-purposes-of.html?m=1
I wish we had before having our first son...maybe he would still be intact.
