Two Month Annibirthery!

Look at this grin. He is out handsome little fellow!
Two month stats:
Weight: 9 lbs. 15 oz. 13 Percentile. He gained 23 oz over the last 25 days!
Length: 22.75 inches. 43 Percentile. He grew 1.25 inches over the last 25 days!
Head Circumference: 39 cm. 27 Percentile. Not quite as big a head as his sisters'.

I love the twinkle in his eye in this one.
Here is Etta at 2 months. Fully stretched she is barely as long as Russell. And probably a full pound lighter!

And Miss Mae at 2 months. She is a bit . . . rounder . . . as she weighed less at this point. Most of her weight must be in her cheeks - that she got from me. Lucky girl.

Easter Play

After finding eggs, dying eggs, collecting real eggs ... one would think that children would be tired. Nope. Outside for a tri-hopathon. (Gotta love Pinterest!)

First we hop on one foot.

Then we just run around.

And watch what the big girls do.

"I can run fast!! Like Etta!!"

Then over to the neighbor's for some playtime. I'm not sure what this face is about, but it's pretty priceless. And very Mae.

Easter Egg Hunt #3

Ready to head out. Matching again!

Grandma gets nervous with Mae on the steps.

Hmmmmmmm...

Grandpa Steve face.

Trying to get a smile.

We were trying to get a good pic so that the neighbor lady can paint a portrait of Mae. Colors were right on this outing - lighting and faces were not. And we took like 50 pictures...

Easter Egg Hunt #2

On Saturday, March 30th our good friend Katie hosted an egg hunt at her house. I think there were 20 something kids there ranging from Russell (4 weeks) to 9 or 10(?).
Getting ready to blast off of the porch.

Chilling in the back. Mae had to wear the fire hat.

I think back shots are the only true way to get egg hunt pics.

I'm digging Etta's hair. 10 weeks and counting until it's cut!

And Bob had to get a pic of me.

Easter Egg Hunt #1

On Friday, March 29th our good friend Dawn planned an Easter Egg hunt at Hereth Park for our Mom's Group friends. We went to one two years ago. The girls are a bit different now than they were then. What a difference two years makes!
Showing off their baskets. Yes, that is a Halloween shirt that Etta has on for the Easter Egg hunt. But I wanted them to be very visible. And they ended up matching. Win-win all around.

Tried to get a better picture with both of them looking at the camera. Mae was done with posing.
She was on a mission to find eggs.

Pretty much a game of "Me and My Shadow".

They are getting along fairly well. Um, except for the hair pulling, pinching and punching. But, really, they love each other and are always pretty much want to be together.

Volcano Dyed Eggs

I wanted to dye eggs, The Girls wanted to make volcanoes, the little girls just wanted to do something. So a big "hurrah" to Pinterest for giving us Volcano Easter Eggs!
Prepping.

More prepping. Um, don't know if I'm ready for this. I'm not really much of a "messy mom".

Checking for proper consistency.

Actually painting. Not just blobbing.

In his role as overseer.
No, I didn't actually get pictures of when we dropped the eggs in the vinegar. The little girls are still just too little for me to actually take pictures when something like this is going on. And it happened super fast. ... And ... we used almost a whole gallon of vinegar doing 2 dozen eggs. Who'd a thought that vinegar would lose it's foaming powers? I'm loving learning things a long with Etta.
